I have an espresso/cappuccino coffee maker.. and I was wondering.. is there a way to make black coffee using?

I have an espresso/cappuccino coffee maker.. and I was wondering.. is there a way to make black coffee using cappuccino maker? like not strong espresso shots but just coffee like the one you get from filter coffee makers? and any other ideas? it just takes to long to forth the milk and tap the coffee in the coffee holder..

well you can make whats called an americana- basicly coffee, but might have a stronger taste to it. i dunno.

what you do is make your espresso- and pour it in a cup, and add water to it… youll have to play around and see how much water youll have to add to make it taste the way you want it too,

but what i do with mine, is this: i buy flavored coffees, and i make esspresso with it, (i never tap mine down and dont have any probs with it) then i get a big cup, usually a 32 oz. and fill it with ice, i sweeten my espresso, (i smell it to see if its sweet enough) and i slowly pour it over my ice till its cold, then i add regular milk to it, (mines about 1/3 espresso and 2/3 milk…) more or less to taste, and drink up… its like an iced latte… super good!!!

you can also make it with regular flavored coffee, i just add creamer and sugar to the espresso (and a lil vanilla extract) before i cool it so it mixes in easily….!

Good to clean a coffee maker, my mom usually puts vinegar through it and then the water, with nothing added. I do not know if that applies to coffee makers again, but it's worth a shot. One thing though – if possible, open windows when you are making the vinegar.

What is the best coffee maker for less than £ 180 pounds?

I would be able to use both pods and ground – would be doing more than two cups at a time, and probably be drinking espresso capaccino / coffee. I quite like the look of the retro – but not essential

Personally, if you really want the retro look and then go for FrancisFrancis espresso maker which really retro look. If you want something that is within your budget and makes up 2 cups, then you should go for a single serve coffee maker. My recommendation is the Braun Tassimo swing. Not only made each cup individually, the Capuchin it comes with the foam!

Flavored Tea in Iced Tea Maker?

We have a Mr. Coffee iced tea maker & would like to know how to make different flavors of iced tea with it. We have already tried adding fresh mint leaves when brewing, but would like other ideas to try. Please, no recipes that DO NOT use the automatic maker, I already have plenty of those. Thanks!

Boston Iced Tea

Ingredients:
Mr. Coffee® 3-Quart Iced Tea Maker
3 quarts of water
1/3 cup of sugar
15 tea bags
1 (12 oz.) can of frozen cranberry juice

Directions:
Put water in large pot and heat until boiling.

Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Add teabags and let steep until desired strength is acquired.

Stir in cranberry juice concentrate and allow to cool.

Serve in tall glasses.

Caribbean Tea Splash

Ingredients:
Mr. Coffee® Iced Tea Maker
Water
4 Lipton® “Brisk”® Cup Size Tea Bags or 2 Lipton® Family Size Tea Bags
1 1/2 cups chilled pineapple juice
1 cup cream of coconut
1 cup ice cubes (about 9 to 12)
“Taste Tested Recipes from The Lipton® Kitchens”

Directions:
Into pitcher, measure fresh, cold water to the 1-quart water mark. Pour into water reservoir.

Fit a Mr. Coffee® 8-12-cup paper filter into the tea-steeping basket; add tea bags. Fit the pitcher into place for brewing. Turn on machine and let brew.

In blender, process brewed tea, pineapple juice, cream of coconut and ice cubes about 1 minute or until smooth and well blended. Pour into tall glasses. Garnish each glass, if desired, with pineapple wedge. Serve immediately.

Makes 8 servings.

Ingredients:

2 cups sliced fresh peaches
3 tablespoons fresh mint leaves
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

Directions:
Into pitcher, measure fresh, cold water to the 1-quart water mark. Pour into water reservoir.

Fit a Mr. Coffee® 8-12-cup paper filter into the tea-steeping basket; add tea bags. Fit the pitcher into place for brewing. Turn on machine and let brew.

Stir in peaches, mint leaves and sugar; chill.

To serve, pour tea into ice-filled glasses. Garnish, if desired, with remaining mint.

Makes 6 servings.

Stir in grape juice; chill until ready to serve.

Coffee annoying beep?

I bought two coffee machines in my life – a man of coffee and a Cuisinart. Both leave out emits a high pitch beep when the coffee is ready. Can anyone suggest a coffee machine does not beep or a beep which can be turned off?
