The coffee tastes burnt and disgusting!?
I have a Mr. Coffee and every year since the first pot of coffee always makes tasting burnt. Not only burning taste, but as it develops, is reaks of burnt coffee. Obviously I can not take back, but what could be the problem? I have used all different types of coffee, I cleaned with vinegar, and me with cold water. The coffee in coffee shops is so surprising, but I can not seem to do at home! This is my second espresso machine (two different brands) and the two did the raw coffee. Help! My coffee is the same way too.
I found most manufacturers of automatic drip coffee can not make water hot enough, so I quit them. Here are some relatively inexpensive ways for a delicious coffee: 1 – French press (aka press pot $ 40 to 80); put in adequate amount of ground coffee, add hot water put on the lid, wait four minutes, the press and then pour. 2 – Moka pot ($ 25-120) and add water at the bottom, add the fresh coffee in the middle, screw on top, put in the oven, remove when you hear the gurgling sound of it, pour. 3 – Manual Drip (Chemex $ 40-80), since the filter, the load of coffee beans pour hot water, remove the used coffee filter and pour. The water should be just off the boil. The coffee should be as fresh as possible (right before preparation of land). Buy whole media, sealed in bags with a vent (vacuum means stale – no cans or bottles). I recommend a grinder good (the blade grinders do a grind too uneven), which provide better control of the grind (removal of controls) and does not burn the bean leaves causing too much friction. Espresso is very delicate. It can take a lot of experimenting with grinding (finely ground required – you can not do with a blade grinder at all), pressure and time, plus any machine for $ 700, is likely to be very inconsistent, so forget the $ 50 or $ 300 all-in-one. I have a good machine, a good mill, and I do everything right, but sometimes it does not work forever. I also have to adjust my methods beans every time I try again.
