Is there any way to clean the inner workings of an electric Mr. Coffee (coffee)?

My Mr. Coffee Electric has started leaking. Pools water under the Unit. The decanter is clean and all parts are clean I can see. Is there any way to clean the inner workings of the coffee machine to stop leak? Has this ever happened to you? I'm not willing to "throw" the coffee machine, but I know I have to. It still works, but forming a puddle on the counter annoying. Thanks for any suggestions.

No. Do not try to clean. Mr. Coffee are ALL leak. And once they start leaking, cleaning not help. It is the accumulation of mineral or anything that can be cleaned. It is a defective product. Take it back to where you bought it, with or without the receipt. Them know of this problem. It will let you exchange it for a new coffee machine. I just went through five pieces of worthless trash. The company is aware also, its best response is to return the piece of scrap value. Try Black and Decker coffee makers. My back is wonderful.
