no toxic alloy repair?? solder?

hi, i have an antique coffee maker, no spares available, the alloy basket that holds coffee has a tiny pin sized hole in it… steam gets through and messes up the function… what non toxic heat resustant substance could i repair it with?? maybe plumbers solder?? some kind of super glue??

many thanks, o

yeah food safe solder might work, depending on the metal, it can’t hurt to try and if it won’t stick take it to a welding/brazing shop and have them take a gander at it.
